Carnival Entry Procedure

Carnival Entry / Race Nomination fees

If a swimmer chooses to compete at local, state or national competitions, nomination fees per race need to be paid directly to the Club.  The Club then forwards these payments to Swimming SA or the Host club.  Race fees can vary from $3.50 for races at local carnivals, $9.50 for Swimming SA meets, $15.00 for State Championships to $25.00 for National Championships.

When your child is ready to begin entering competitive swimming carnivals, please speak with the Head Coach/Assistant Coach and get advice about the appropriate events and level of carnival for your child.  This advice will be based on the experience of each swimmer, the entry times required, the swimmer’s level in squads and the swimmer's future swimming goals.

Your nomination e-mail should include the following information:

• Swimmer's Name
• Event Number                                                    i.e. Event 13, 10 year girls, 50m free
• Official entry time for that event                           i.e. 1:10:39  or  NT (no time) where no formal entry time has been previously achieved
• Where and When the official time was achieved    i.e. 1/7/12 at PAC Carnival
• Confirmation of payment for nominations              i.e. Paid by electronic transfer 23 Jun 13, Deposit ID 65342

Nominations must be received by our nominations officer before the Club cut-off date for each competition.  The Club's cut-off dates for nominations are clearly posted on the pool notice board and will often be available in the calendar of events.

(Note that the Club's nomination cut-off date preceeds the cut-off dates published in the SwimmingSA handbook.  Don't miss an event because you got the wrong nomination date!)

Important: With effect from the 2013 Short Course State Championships, the PAC Committee has decided that all nomination fees must be paid before nominations are formally lodged (BSB: 105198 / Account: 52877040).

Online Entries

Clubs and organisations often only accept online entries.  Where this happens, you either need to go direct to the organisation's website and enter using their process, or where possible, we will put the link to the entry website in our events calendar.
